Meaningful Moments Trigun- The Death of Legato

Description

(1) I personally feel that this is one of the most powerful moral conflicts that I've ever seen depicted in an anime. In Trigun, Vash is taught from an early age that putting in danger, or ending the lives of anyone is the worst cardinal sin a person can make (depicted by the qoute from his adoptive mother at the top). But his morals are put into conflict when Legato, the second in command of a group known as the "Gung-ho Guns", deliberatly makes Vash decide whether to let him live, at the expense of a large group of people; or kill him, setting the innocent bystanders, as well as countless future victims free of an otherwise tourturous death.

SOMEONE DID THE THING
I'm really happy to see this in the contest, because this was one of the most powerful scenes in an older anime I've ever seen. Just that intense moral conflict he has with going against his life-long belief was heartbreaking.
